Originally founded in 1921, the company known today as Mitsubishi Electric has almost 100 years of experience in providing reliable, high-quality products to both corporate clients and general consumers all over the world.
The company was first established in the UK in the 1980’s and has grown to become one of Britain’s foremost manufacturers of heating, cooling, ventilation and solar products.
The Green Gateway, which was developed by Mitsubishi Electric in the UK, is a wider part of the Corporation’s ‘Environmental Vision 2021’ initiative. This makes commitments to reduce CO2 emissions from product use by 30% by 2021 and expand development of power generation that does not emit CO2, such as PV and nuclear. The Mitsubishi Electric Group set 2021 as the target year in order to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the company’s founding.
The Green Gateway also runs in parallel with the Mitsubishi Electric Group’s environmental statement “Eco Changes”, which expresses the Group’s stance on environmental management. Through a wide range of businesses for homes, offices, factories, infrastructure and even outer space, we are helping contribute to the realisation of a sustainable society.
In line with the Mitsubishi Electric Group’s corporate statement, “Changes for the Better,” which reflects our drive to always seek improvement and make changes accordingly, Eco Changes represents our efforts to work together with our customers to change the global environment for the better.
Behind these multi-fold improvements is our wish for each employee in the Group to instigate positive changes, and our strong desire to bring about a variety of changes in product development, production and shipping, in product, system and service usage, and in recycling.
Eco Changes is the Mitsubishi Electric Group’s commitment to continuously strive for a greener tomorrow through cutting-edge global environmental technologies and outstanding strength in manufacturing.
