What is the Learning Curve?
The Learning Curve is an inspiring educational programme which aims to teach the energy consumers of tomorrow all about renewable technologies and the importance of energy conservation.
Over 1,000 children have already taken part in The Learning Curve since its launch in the autumn 2011.
The programme has been developed to fit seamlessly into the National Curriculum, with carefully define learning objectives for both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 pupils. It also covers many areas of Brownie Environment and Cub Global Awareness badges.
Mitsubishi Electric has developed The Learning Curve through its strong sense of corporate social responsibility. It has therefore made its nationwide Training Centres available to schools and youth groups to help increase awareness of renewable energies and widen children’s understanding of how these technologies work
The company has deliberately planned the events to challenge the children to consider how they think society should cope with increased demands for energy use, whilst also seeking to combat climate change.
